GM Trailer Tire Sensors and distance

Looking into getting Gm trailer tire sensors for my fifth wheel. The fifth wheel is 40’ long. Anyone have experience with these on a longer trailer and the distance to the tires? Making sure there are no connectivity issues with distance. Thank you in advance.

A good friend has them on a 40' 5th wheel towed by a 2022 GMC 3500. They have worked great for him. I used my TPMS training tool to sync them with his truck. Took about 2 minutes to do.

Someone else previously mentioned that the GM sensors had a max 100 PSI rating so if your 40' trailer uses G rated tires, the GM sensors may not work. If your camper has E rated tires (80 PSI rating) you will likely want to change those out as LRE tires are kind of puny for your camper's weight.

The GM OEM TPMS's on my friend's trailer accurately sent the correct 110 psi and temperature tire information to the truck's dash display during a recent trip to Oregon and back from Arizona. The valve stems were supplied with the 2022 GMC 3500 Denali when he bought it. I'll mention your comments to my friend, to check if his sensors are rated for the pressures of his H rated tires. Thanks foe the heads up.

Any pics of his sensors? GM has several part numbers. These are the first that I have heard work at 110 psi. I have heard they were working on 110 psi sensors.

Gm tpms

Just talked my friend Rick about his 2022 GMC tire sensors. The TPMS came in a box included with the trailer towing package, which also included the trailer camera and wiring. The TPMSs were not purchased aftermarket. I’d suggest calling a GM parts counter at a dealership to get the part number included in the trailer tow package.
