New Member introduction

New to this forum but not new to RVing. We are awaiting delivery of a 2022 Montana 3121rl Legacy with full body paint. We can't wait for it to arrive.

I retired at the end of 2021. I was a civil engineer for 45 years. We are ready to head back out on the road after being locked up for 2 years. We went from a trailer to a Class C and now a fifth wheel. We sold the Class C three years ago, so we are having to buy all the startup supplies again!

Our tow vehicle is a 2017 Platinum F350, SRW, 4x4, 6.8' Bed. Just bought it in January before prices really started going nuts. I was lucky to get it. It had just come off a lease with only 37K miles on it. It has no fifth wheel setup, so I am considering getting the B&W gooseneck with the B&W Companion. Based on review of the Montana and truck specs I should be able to turn up to 80 degrees. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

Our dog, Abby, a Chiweenie, loves riding in the car and can't wait.

Hi ScaryPapa, We also just bought a new 2022 3121RL. We got the residential refrigerator. We get our rig next month. I will send you a friend request so that we can update each other when we have questions. Take care

The Montana being discussed will have an approximate 3760 lb pin weight based on the gross trailer weight times 23 percent. Platinum and Lariat are real upscale models with the lowest payloads in the F350 range so guys, check you payload placard in the door frame and stay safe! You are likely going to be overloaded with passenger(s), cargo and the hitch in you truck bed.
