The KeyTV Module sends 12 volts DC up through the coax cable to the OTA roof mounted antenna to provide a 12 volt power source to the OTA antenna preamp...
If the KeyTV module is DEAD then NOTHING --- NO SIGNALS will pass through to TV sets, FM radio, SAT dish, etc...
I have not seen ANY schematic breakdown on the internals of the system.. It is a nice "Concept" with a poor reliability .. as can be easily found with searches on the internet...
The KeyTV module does have an internal fuse inside on the circuit board and if this is blown then you can rest assured the board is fried and you will need a new one...
If the BLUE LED is lt on the KeyTV module ALL this is telling you is the module is receiving a "Source" 12 volts DC from the RV to power the KeyTV module..
It means "Nothing" regarding whether the module is actually working...
IF the OTA antenna is not working "NO OTA stations found on the TV set" then I would check the integrity of the coax connectors on the backside of the KeyTV module first...
Followed by using a multimeter and remove OTA coax connection at the KeyTV module and measure at center pin and threaded barrel of SO239 connection for 12 volts DC
If no 12 volts DC is detected and BLue LED is lit the KeyTV module is bad..
IOF there is 12 volts measured at the OTA SO239 connection on the KeyTV module this means the module is sending 12 volts DC up to the OTA antenna on the roof but doesnt mean the OTA preamp is actually working
