Preferred Sealant / Ext.

Hello,
I have been trying to diagnose a leak on my slide, 2012 Cougar 327RES. I have yet to find the cause(s) but i have been going around and repairing deteriorated sealant. I know what to use on the rubber roof but I am more concerned with everything else. Looks like Keystone used clear silicone, which is all but clear now. Question is wouldn't a good quality polyurethane be a better choice? Seems nothing sticks to silicone; including silicone.

The Camping Wold collision manager says they use silicone, and after they replaced my roof and rear wall, they had it everywhere!

Any suggestions what you prefer?

Must better choice would be proseal or Sikaflex. I would use proseal before Sikaflex as it isn’t as hard to work with.

I agree with you, avoid using any silicone product at all cost and stick with polyurethane as much as you can. I used Chemlink M1 everywhere on my TT.
