I 77 South Wytheville VA
We are going to be traveling south on I 77 next week and would like a campground that is close to an exit clean and reasonable in price. This is a one night stop and Wytheville is about as far south as we prefer to go. Water and electric is fine our trailer is a travel trailer 31 'We could stop in W VA if someone knows of a nice quiet place.
Thanks
Mike

Wythville KOA. Cheap and easy. Two truck stops at that exit if you need fuel. You could also dry camp at the Flying J for free if the weather is cooler.

Fort Chiswell RV park and Pioneer Village are also reasonable and offer good rates.

Second the Fort Chiswell. Stayed there a few times, can watch the traffic on I-77. Clean ,quite and reasonable. Also they are pull-thru sites.

We use the Wytheville KOA. Easy in and out. The sites to the right...sites 5 thru 8 are nicer than those behind the office/rec center.
Follow signs to campground from I81...you have to drive thru a neighborhood...no issues...just feels strange.
We stay here 3-4times a year on trips down the I81 corridor. Recommend without any hestation.

A few miles down the road before you go down the mountain on I-77s is Fancy Gap, VA KOA. Nice and an easy ride to and from interstate. We just spent 4 days there over the weekend. Its nice place to overnight but its also a nice place to stay a few nights right at the Blue Ridge parkway and US-52.

Second the fancy gap KOA. If your headed into NC, it's the better of the two KOA's.

We ran in the rain most of the day and it is raining now but we stopped at KOA at Fancy Gap. Beautiful park roomy sites, full hookups and cable TV. We are going to roll in the morning so we will not really enjoy the park, but the site is a pull through very quiet and I did not unhook.....we are happy...thanks guys
