New to RV trailers
Name Craig. Just bought a used 2016 19 foot Bullet. Have taken my first short trip. Two days to Tombstone AZ. My wife and I have traveled a lot in the past but hotel stays and flying. Since the pandemic this is the only way we really feel like we can still travel and be safe.
I am pulling the trailer with a 2015 Silverado 6 cylinder. It seems to do well, hills a little slow but not bad. Average fuel mileage for the full trip was 12 mpg. Was hoping for more but others tell me that was pretty good. I drive between 60 and 65 for the trip.
My wife says the trailer has some oder but I don't smell it. My daughter also has a trailer and said all trailers have some oder. We put a full size queen mattress to replace the one that was in it and it sleeps great.
Everyone have a safe and happy Thanksgiving

Congrats and welcome.
Your wife may be right, I had a '15 bullet that had a formaldehyde odour. Depends on your sniffer.
Good luck and happy trails Craig and wife.

Welcome to the forum : wlcm:
Congrats on your new to you purchase. Lots of good information and loads of great people here. Yeah there was a lot of different adhesives and materials used back then. Potpourri can mask a lot of unpleasant odors.

Get a couple of long haired dogs and wet them down good and let them run around outside. Bring them into the trailer and you will never notice the odd smells again. Welcome.

First fry about 5 lbs of bacon inside, then hide the said bacon outside in and around around every mud hole, river bank, and horse stable. Then let the dogs out.

Thanks for the welcome
New to trailers and new to Forums. Wanted to thank everyone for the welcome and the suggestions. My next hurdle is to get the trailer home. Need a fenced to put it behind to make the city happy and am waiting on a permit to do that.
I enjoy fixing and seeing if I can make things better. but it is hard when it is at my daughters house plus I think it wiii make a nice man cave for me when i need some lone time.
Have a problem switch the slide out after i cleaned the seals. Not sliding easy. I have read the form and others have had the same problem just need it at home so I can do the fix suggested.
Everyone Have a great Christmas. Be safe.

Welcome to the forum and boy do I envy you....I'm down the street in Sun City West. Not allowed to keep the RV at the house - fence or not. I've been running back and forth to the compound on Bell Rd all week to tinker!
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

Hope you can get the camper home soon. And hope your city zoning won't give you any more hard-times.
We lived in a town for 16 years, had a camper of some sort or another parked beside the house. Never a word or a complaint. After 16 years, the City left the nasty-gram on my front door saying we had to move the camper as it was in violation of zoning. We tried everything to rectify and appease. No way.
Well, I sleep where my camper sleeps. We sold the house and moved to a different COUNTY completely! Been living here very, very happy for the last 12 years and been able to sleep in the camper almost every night of that 12 year period. We purchased the house so we could live in the camper! Makes a lot of sense, hum? I know, everyone says we're nuts. Yep, maybe we are. We're nuts about our camper!
Hope you can get your's home REAL soon and enjoy it too. Even when parked on your own property, they are wonderful for taking you away from all the troubles in this crazy world.
Merry Christmas!

Peoria will only give you 24 hours parked on the curb by your house. But they will not come by unless d=someone complain. Then you will find a blue chalk mark by your trailer to see if it has been moved. It had been there for more than a week before that happened.
