Left Blinker Fail - Trailer Module Fault

Having trouble with the left blinker on my Cougar. Everything worked normally when we left home. Initially, had some intermittent periods where the left blinker would work one day, then not the next. Now - continuous fault showing as indicated in the photo. I’ve changed bulbs and even put the right bulb in the left light - no help. The truck lights work normally when not connected to my in the bed seven pin connector. Suggestions on what I might check?

I had that problem with my old f150. Turned out there was a fuse under the hood that controlled the trailer turn signals. I think I had to look it up online before I found it.

Sometimes the connection doesn’t mate properly because of manufacturing differences between companies. I had a similar fault that was fixed by cleaning the RV and truck connections and the using dielectric grease in/on the connections.

Update to Trailer Module Fault

Thanks to everyone for your replies. My problem ended up being my 5er’s left blinker...After trying all suggestions and having a Ford dealer take a look there was still no resolution.

I removed the rear light, pulled the wiring out where I could look at those connections, and found a poor connection. Problem solved.
