Inner Wipe Seal Replacement

The inner wipe seal on one side of my LR Accu-slide has torn off its channel base about 12" down from the top. I thought I could remove the metal trim from the side of the opening, but after removing the screws it appears that is is part of a U-channel and won't come off. I can see the base of the rubber wipe still in the channel but have no idea how to get it out so I can show my dealer what needs to be ordered. I dread the thought of paying them to do it. Any ideas?
