Yes, I try and select Leds that operate in a voltage range.

Okay I give up, just got back in, spent enough time trying to get the cover off this small fixture. Looks like it is going to have a halogen light until it burns out, then let the war begin again. I know how they are supposed to spin off, but think the issue here is these little fixtures are jammed into pre-drilled hole in a cabinet or wood work. They are in there very tight so they do not fall out. That extra force also makes it very hard to turn the lid to release those inside tabs.

Done !!! this single light has its own switch, where most people could not find so I think halogen bulb will last for awhile. At the time it burns out this may be an excellent example of going to the dealer for a bulb and coming back with a new rig with a folding ladder

So the ones you have in the picture are not 12V only? I can not find any of these halogen replacement LEDs like that. Everyone I come across is 12V only. I can find plenty of T10 921 and BA15s 1141/1156 that are variable voltage, but not the G4 base.

Use this search parameter ... led g4 base bulb 12v 10v - 20v

Thanks Javi, that helped. If you add "disc" to your search string it helps further. Doesn't turn up a lot (of variable voltage) and I don't need to buy 5 and 10 lots but it's a start. Wasn't having luck with my searches.

canesfan; Maybe I should have stated when possible I choose multi voltage leds vs those advertised as 12V DC. Those JC10 sub miniature discs were the first leds I ever purchased for the Raptor. Since I bought them at the dealer, really put no thought into are they comparable with RVs converter output range . Yes they are advertised as 12VDC. As I said that small tower led will also fit in that small fixture but not sure if it is a voltage range LED. Maybe I will find some documentation on the tower in the picture.

Well I would prefer the multi range voltage LEDs. I've seen too many pictures of burned up LEDs. Like I said, I mistakenly bought some plain fixed 12V LEDs and now I'm rethinking them. That was two years ago, they've been fine but...

The towers are easier to find but lots of them don't list any dimensions and getting answers isn't always going to happen. Most of the discs with dimensions listed seem to be around an inch or so in diameter and would seem to fit. Some have some electronics on the back side of them making them thicker so I'm not sure about those. I have yet to pull one of mine to look and see how much room I have. I'm still hunting. I guess if I have to buy 5 so be it if I can't find singles or a two pack for a reasonable price. I found some but they were more than the 5 and 10 packs.

For others trying to find these like I have been, here
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0043SG522..._70668520&th=1
is one that is listed as multi voltage (12V AC/DC - Tolerances: 10-20VDC, 10-14VAC) and is sold individually (as opposed to lots of 5 or 10). It is said to be "warm" white but some of the comments say it's more between warm and cool. I prefer cool, or in betweenish. There is one listed with it that is listed as cool but it is not listed as multi voltage. Might just be an oversight. Been trying to get an answer from them to see if that's the case.

Becareful, Size does make a difference. The one that I know fits is about the size of a quarter (~25mm diameter) that one you are looking at is 31mm. Not such room in there. I would go out and measeure the exact room that is in there BUT just remembered I can not get the lens off

warm white think is defined as around 3000K whereas cool 5000 -7000 where starts having blue tint

EDIT: this is getting as bad as the ladder issue, Oh forgot yours folds

LOL, mine folds, and my light rings don't have little metal tabs, they just turn and fall off. Two little plastic nubs and two little indentations hold them on, just barely.

I took one off yesterday, there isn't a lot of room in there. Plus I can't get the bulb out. It's tight and they are tiny and hard to get a grip on. And you're not supposed to touch them so I was using a paper towel which made it slippery. Sigh, I may just leave well enough alone til it burns out. Back to the drawing board.

I may try to measure it today anyway, just to know what might fit.

These are 1" long or 25.4mm

Yeah not much room!!

Oh by the way, Congrats guess you will have to find someone with "SMALL" hands

My halogen bulb will be in there f-o-r-e-v-e-r had enough of this project. Seen your pictures, mine crammed into this hole, will not turn. You probably stopped at the right point remember when you get that one out THEN you will be fighting getting this quarter sized disc in there and getting the prongs lined up

At least story is out about size of your hands

The problem I found was that the 3 screws that hold the fixture to the cabinet were installed too tight causing the base to spread out at the screw holes. I sanded some of the plastic away next to the screw holes and reinstalled the screws just tight enough to hold the fixture in place and not spread the plastic. Now at least I can remove the lens to change the bulbs

I'm thinking about all of this and at this point in time I think it might be easier to just replace the whole fixture than fussing with it all and trying to find a bulb that will fit and is the right voltage.

They look just like all my other ceiling lights. Turn counter clockwise just a bit and it should drop right off.

That's the only two lights in the whole trailer that look like that... I'll try again tomorrow..

Hmmm, I'll take a picture of mine later. Are those hot? Did you feel them? My ceiling lights that look like those are LEDs. The only ones that aren't are the ones I posted with the black trim around them which are halogen for whatever reason.

Yes... hot to the touch.. nothing in my trailer had LED blubs from the get-go except the awning strip light, although the brochure stated LED lights...

Well hopefully they still come apart them same. I had to push upward on this one just barely, then a quarter turn.
