2012 Outback BH312: A/C Fan Not Turning On

I know this is an issue for Southeast Texans but today I am trying to turn my AC and the fan is not turning on. I hear the AC unit kick on but no fan. When i turn on just the fan i can hear a low motor/unit turning on but the fan is not spinning. How can i troubleshoot? Possible the fan motor is bad? I know on my house unit the AC repair man replaces the capacitor ?

Any help would be appreciated....

Get on the roof and remove the A/C shroud. Then have someone turn the fan on. WATCH your fingers!!! The same motor turns the squirrel cage that circulates the air in the coach and the fan that blows air across the coils on the roof. If it's not turning then the motor needs to be replaced.

Here in south Ga we have had problems with dirt dobbers building nest in ours. Check to make sure nothing is stopping the fan from turning. May just need a cleaning out.

when I picked up my new travel trailer a few weeks ago, the tech that did the demo with me said the best way to keep wasps and other bugs from nesting in the hot water heater and fridge cavities is to put a flea collar in there. Not sure if it works or not but for the price of a flea collar it is worth a try.
I will know come summer time when the wasps start to nest here in Fl.
