Cougar owners forum

In browsing threads, I came across one that said a private forum for Cougar owners had been found. In checking, I could find no such forum, other than this one. Also in checking the date of the thread, it was 2012, so a bit outdated. Was wondering if anyone knows of such a forum? The Montana owners have one, just wondering if there are others out there?

Thanks.

Terry K -
The "forum" that you talking about is probably one of the many "Social Groups" found in the Community section of the forum. At the top of each page, look for the Community Link tab and click on that. This will take you to a number of Social Groups which are made up of members who own specific models such as the Cougar, Montana, etc.

Within each social group, there are sub groups of Cougars, for example, - usually designated by different Cougar models.

There was an actual Cougar forum back about 2 years ago. It was started by one of the members here - his name is Ken (something?). I was a member, but the forum went away. Either from a lack of participation/interest or, perhaps, it was too much of an expense to keep it running.

368 mbi

Hello I’m new to the site and looking to purchase a new 2021 368MBI. The one I am looking at has a residential refrigerator in it. When I was looking in the pass through I notice a 2000W inverter. Should this package also include the solar panels as well or is the inverter just used for the fridge to run off the battery provided with only shore power or my TV to charge the battery? I am trying to make sure that the dealer is being honest here as I thought that the solar panel(s) would be included when you add the inverter.

Solar panels would be a separate package = expense. The res fridge comes with the inverter and nothing else.

Thank you that helps me a lot so the inverter will keep my fridge running as long as I have sufficient battery power. Correct?

What Danny said is correct and yes, it will run it as long as there is sufficient battery power. Running down the highway should be no trouble at all with most trucks.

Thank you, you have all been a huge help. I have a TT now and we have been camping for years, but are looking at this camper to go full time and need something a little bigger, and with a better build. If we decide to get solar installed later is it worth the expense and how much would I need to say keep the fridge running and use some lights at night? I know I would need to get batteries and have a sufficient bank for this as well and that is also something I’m looking to as how much battery power would I need?

Welcome to the forum. You have posted your question in a thread that hasn't been active for over 6 years. In the future post a NEW thread as you will get far more responses.

We just bought a 2021 268mbi about a month ago. We love the layout but the quality is not very good. We already miss our old trailer we traded in on this one.

What did you have before? I thought when I looked at it the quality was much better than the PrimeTime Tracer that I have now. Also what problems have you had with it since you got it?
