Greasing Alpine Suspension

I have an Alpine 3535Rl and am trying to grease the suspension using the zerk fittings. Seems like it should be easy. I am using one of the small grease guns with a flex tube. It seems like the zerk fittings may be larger than what came with the gun? Have a hard time getting them on and an even harder time taking it off the fittings. What do other use? Is there a special size zerk or tool? This should be a simple job.

The zerk fittings on the suspension should be the "standard" size and pretty much any grease gun you buy should be the same size.

Make sure you wipe off the zerk fitting before you try to attach the grease gun. It may help to roll the gun onto the fitting, rather than trying to press it straight on.

I also have an Alpine.. Love it.. I had one zero that would not take grease.. Took off and cleaned it out, reinstalled, grease flows fine.. All the fittings took my 30 year old grease gun fitting with no issues.

No issues with the zerk size on our Alpine, try rolling onto it as Chuckster recommended. The first time I greased mine I had several zerks that would not take grease. If you run into that, it's an easy fix, push the plunger (center pin in the zerk) in with a small punch or screw driver to break it free, they'll take grease without a problem after that.
