AC Replacement for my Carrier Air V Unit

Hi all, I have a 2006 Keystone Outback 26 RS, the ac unit went back and needs replacement.

I do not need heat pump just the AC. What do you recommend for Carrier Air V 13,500 btu replacement? Thanks,

Did your Carrier unit have a wired in thermostat or use the wireless remote? If it was the wireless type, the biggest issue will be running a 6 conductor thermostat wire. Do some research to find what is being installed on newest campers, which tend to be more efficient and quieter. My 2019 came with Dometics, which have very quiet when installed on the "racetrack" ductwork. Was the 13.5K Carrier unit sufficient to cool your camper??? Maybe a 15K unit is in order. I installed a soft start kit, which make using a single a/c unit possible with a 2200 watt generator. Good luck!

Thanks for replying to my post, my carrier unit does have a wireless remote. The 13,500 btu worked fine since the rv is only 26 feet long. I'm looking for a carrier replacement unit were modifications are not needed.

When I had to replace my AC unit I checked out PPL. The were the cheapest and shipped out the new one very quickly.
