Well heck, it made sense for 5 min anyway!! Lol!

Yup! It seems like “things make sense” to the engineers while they stare at that screen. I wish they were required to spend even a week with a tech.

I’ll post a pic of the tool when I get back into the shop.

I bought a 2016 Passport Ultra Lite 199ML as a "new" unit last year from RV Wholesalers, Lakeview, OH (my first TT) and did not receive that "square drive bit on a flexible shaft," nor did I receive ANY instruction on manually retracting the slide. Is that drivebit/shaft a Keystone supplied or a dealer-supplied item on a new unit?

Thanks.

Mine came with my unit. I assumed it came from Keystone otherwise my dealer would have been all over telling me what they did for me.

I'm the same as Chip. Mine (2) were in a drawer. Guess it's sort of like the manual tools supplied hanging on the pass thru wall.

Is there a video or at least pictures of where this square drive attaches?

Wait - you might have to cut through the underbelly covering to access the manual mechanism?
What a lousy design.
Looking forward to learning how we access our slide out over-ride on our Cougar 26RBS when we take delivery next month.

We have a 22RBS and the access hatch is already there. I would just have to crawl under the trailer and unscrew the four screws to get to the motor.

Steveo57, I hope yours is easier than mine. I had some electrical issues this past weekend and had to figure out how to manually work the slide. Removed the access hatch you speak of only to find that we still had to cut through the covering. The hatch was just covering more of the underbelly. At least it was in the right place when we cut!

Happy to have found out in my delivery inspection that I too have the already existing hatch.
