So how many of you really do follow Wingard antennas recommendation to lubricate the o ring on the crank up shaft twice a year and secondly how do you do it?

I have not lubed it but, will say 5 years at the coast I left the antenna up and when I sold the trailer the new owner drove it away up because it would not crank down.

I do it after I clean the roof ... usually twice a year but has been once a year a few times.

In the 13 1/2 yrs I owned my Jayco
I never lubed it. It worked as good the day I sold it as the day I bought it.
May be the environment it's kept in.

OK, so if one wanted to lube the "O" ring, how would one go about it?

What I do is remove the plastic plug using a wrench & spray a couple of shots of silicone spray lube into the opening. There is also a plastic plug you can pry out to lube the rotating mechanism. I normally spray that and spray the gears while a helper rotates the antenna. It sounds more complicated then it actually is.
