Another 327 Stair Mod

Changed the two stairs to three and ran the carpet all the way to the bed so the entire bedroom is carpeted.

My husband did this mod just this past weekend! We didn't carpet in front of the bathroom but changing to three steps is a big plus. For the bottom step he mitered the edge of the corner by the door. Would post pics but our son has our camera.

Much more user friendly.

Cmlong, where did get the extra carpet? I did this but my bottom step is still 3/4 plywood. Wife wanted wood steps but I was doing the work and I wanted carpet, so that what we have but the bottom rung is still wood. Repeating myself....

I know we had just enough from what was previously on there. Of course, husband had to cut and piece it together. I looked in the living room where if I had a fireplace it would go but mine was linoleum. What about taking the closet carpet and replacing it with matching stick on floor tiles?

You could also paint or stain the wood left showing and it'd look nice.

Your mod looks very nice, by the way! Great sense of accomplishment.

We used a complementary color carpet for the stairs, hall and bedroom floor. Didn't try to match.
