Grand Canyon Railroad RV Park

My wife and I just spent two nights at the Grand Canyon Railroad RV Park in Williams, AZ.

The RV Park itself is setup well, but they have very poor instructions on where to register once you get there. I checked the site on Google Maps before we left home and could not see a building where I would check in, so I called and was told that the registration building was in the park. It turns out registration is across the street from the park, and on the opposite corner. There is no signage on the road either.

There is not a direct number to the park available from their website. You have to call a number that covers the hotel, rv park and railroad and go through their menu system.

I was told that their customer service number isn't even in the same state.

Other than that... They had a shuttle to take passengers to the Train Depot and back, and to anywhere else within their facility which was very helpful to my wife.

I've been to the Grand Canyon many times, but this was my first trip by train. We took the luxury dome car on the way there and 1st class on the way back. The service and experience on the train was fantastic. The ride is 2:15 long. Along the way there is musical entertainment and of course a "Train Robbery".

This is something we would definitely like to do again.

Nice pics

Thanks for the post. We have looked at doing this too. I'll keep an eye out for the office if we do make it down that way. Looks like fun.

Just an FYI - DW and I stayed 5 days at the Circle Pines KOA outside of Williams (about 3 miles) great place to stay-quiet with a good amount of shade and really great camp staff. FWIW

We were there in May, it's a nice clean park with pool, playground for the kids, exercise room, etc. Only problem is, it's really just a big parking lot. No woodsy feel, if you're looking for that. Right across the street is the Grand Canyon Brewing Co, good food and lots of home made beers. We also visited Bearizona wildlife park, well worth it.
