Slide lubrication points
Im looking for a diagram or pictures of the slide mechanism showing lubrication points.
After many years of operation I'm sure it could use some servicing.
Thanks,
Steve
This is a 2008 Springdale 5R with one slide.

Good morning,
You might want to add what type of slides you have.

What type of slide mechanism do you have? Yeah there are thousands of different RVs with slides and there are at least 3 different mechanisms to move the slide.

Well I'll fill in the blanks that most here need to know. There are three different slide mechanisms. The Jack and screw, cable and Schwintech hydraulic. The Schwintech has a obvious weird looking gear that resembles a wiggly pattern on the bottom edge of the slide. Its actually part of the gear drive. The cable and screw/jack need to be viewed from underneath the slide out. Each is obvious by their name.
The cleaning and lubrication method is different for each type. I'll include some youtube links for a better understanding.
Thanks to those that inspired me to look further into what I have...

Schwintek is electric not hydraulic.
I have been working on RVs for a little bit of time and there are different lubrication needs depending on type. That’s why you were asked what YOUR specific slide type is.

Schwintek is a Lippert product..
https://www.lci1.com/slide-outs
I’ll take Lippert’s word before a YouTube video. Schwintek uses 2 motors that operate together using a controller. Motors come in 2 speeds. I’ve replaced enough columns and motors... Please provide the link that specifically states the “SCHWINTEK” slide system is hydraulic.

I don't own Schwintek slides but I have looked at....lots. All have been/are electric. I watched your videos and they too say they are electric. Watch video 2 at about the 1:46 mark - it states the Schwintek is electric. The 1st video is of a guy I've seen several times....not a tech, but a sales guy giving some pointers....sort of like all those sales guy videos where they say all kinds of stuff buy have no clue of what they are talking about.

I dont keep pics on the cloud. So sharing pics is not a current option.
Chuck, keep waiting. Or find a link that we all can learn from.
Cheers.

I think my post previously highlighted that your videos confirmed that Schwinteks use electric motors. As far as "us" (the forum) supposed to "know" what you have....sorry, that's in your ballcourt. If you don't know, and aren't concerned, I'm not sure how you think anyone else knows...or wants so know.
Can't post pics, don't know what you have, someone else is supposed to know?? Telling other members to "post" something to support what they say, when your own video supports what they say....is, off.
YOU need to support what you have, YOU need to figure it out THEN you can ask for assistance. Until then....we'll keep waiting.

I get it now. You guys aren't here to offer assistance and Help for others.
Your here to voice your opinions.
I asked, you asked. I researched, and your hungup on elec/hyd systems.
I explained, you cant forget about the pump.
And now your waiting...
Are your ams crossed across your chest?
And cheeks turning blue?
I'm still looking for a diagram. Cya.

This is going nowhere a bit too fast...
Thread is closed before the attacks continue.
