Sheets for corner cut bed

Looking to buy a Keystone Passport 3400QD. The bunks are 51x74 with a corner cut. Where do you buy sheets with a corner cut that size? Any tricks to make a full/double bed sheet fit? The dimensions of a full/double bed sheet are 54x75, so they will be too big. Any advice is appreciated.

Welcome.
They don't make sheets that fit these corner cut bunks. Our fix for this was to simply lift the foam mattress and tuck under the extra material. Our grandkids never knew it.

Same here. If it really bothered someone, you could pin the sheets or even pin and sew.

Or, if it "really, REALLY" bothers someone, you could suggest they bring along a tent, pitch it next your your trailer, (under the awning if you're super benevolent) and let them sleep on an air mattress.... They'll appreciate those "sagging corners" much more the second night of the camping trip.....

In other words, it ain't the Hilton, Keystone don't make anything that fancy.....

If it bothers the OP then I'd suggest taking perimeter measurements and find someone to sew up a set of sheets. On a previous trailer we had one of those bunk beds in the back and the DW altered a sheet to fit. For the bottom sheet it's a little more work to make a "fitted" sheet but she was able to do it. A "sheet suspender" on the bottom sheet helps keep it in place.

That said, if someone other than the owner is complaining then I'd tell them to "fill out the housekeeping survey" with their complaints. If they say they can't find the survey then I'd say (actually, truth be told I have said) "well then, I guess the last person took my advice and placed it where I suggested!"

Thank you for the replies. They made me laugh. Four teenagers sleeping back there. They will complain even if the sheets fit.

4 teenagers in 2 beds ??? Yeah, they'll all complain, no matter the reason... Likely many "age appropriate" comments like, "Mamma, he's touching me" or "mamma, he's on my side" or "mamma, he's snoring" or "mamma, he won't roll over"... The list goes on and on.... At least you won't be hearing, "Are we there yet?" .....

BTDT, with only two... Bless you with four !!!!!

If they're anything like my teenage grandkids they wouldn't notice or care if there were sheets on the bed, let alone if they fit.

4 teens you should be used to complaints. Tell them the extra length of the sheets is to help facilitate a "Dutch oven". If you don't know the reference I'll bet they do!

Four teenagers, four double bunks. Looking to buy the Passport 3400QD because it is the only one we can find to fit the family. Excited about the floor plan. Wish there were more like it.

4 bunks and 1 television. I see dark clouds on the horizon.

We use a full sized fitted sheet on each bunk and tuck the extra under the mattress

My kids don't want sheets most of the time either, but it's because they have to put them on themselves, as I nor wife will do it for them.

When our kids were young, we slept in sleeping bags. DW sewed a bunch of "cheap sheets" into "sleeping bag liners" and the kids would crawl into their sheet and then zip the sleeping bag around them... Solved the problem of making beds during those "frightful years"... and we didn't have TV, I Pads, I Phones or even a radio most trips LOL

Well, another thread sliding into the "when I was a lad" zone. My suggestion is to purchase TEENAGER COMPLAINT INSURANCE. Available here for a nominal fee:

Use a pair of suspenders for the fitted sheet.

We ordered a set of customer sheets for the V berth on our sailboat. Nothing more custom than that. I’d google, “custom bed sheets for boats”. There are a bunch of company’s that will do a set to your specifications. Mine cost about an $100, but they were very unique. I don’t have there name any more as it was several years ago and my file isn’t with me. Hope this helps.

We resorted to using "sleep sacks" on the bunks. Sheets always came loose regardless of what we used. You can buy the sleep sacks at Walmart etc for about $10 in the camping supplies section. It is like a sleeping bag but made from sheet material so it is not hot. My kids (ages 21 and 24) have been fine with that solution when they join us on a trip
