Dish DVR

Going full time soon and still under contract with Dish. Can I use the DVR/hopper with the Tailgater? I have the Wally unit, do I use that to find the satellite and the hook up the hopper? Or, do I have to haul that big dish around?

Tailgater needs Walley or 211. Not compatible with Hopper

You cad add a hard drive to either the Wally or 211 turning them into a DVR. Problem is the Tailgater can only see one satellite at a time, and since they have a single tuner, you can't watch one show and record another simultaneously. You could add a locals receiver through the USB port which gives you a second tuner exclusively for over the air channels.

I have a Pathways but recently added a Traveler, great upgrade. Take my Hopper 3 from home. 16 tuners and simultaneous 3 satellites.

Kept my Pathways in case Traveler is blocked from seeing satellites.

Thanks for the answers. So, taking the big dish and hopper is probably the option that works.
