Some Norcold 8 cubic foot refrigerators have built in storage latches.
I didn't realize that until I was reading the manual for another problem....

"Door handles:
During travel, the door latch prevents the door from opening.
When closing each door, push the door toward the refrigerator
until you hear a “click sound.
To open each door, pull the handle away from the refrigerator
(See Art00990).
During storage, the storage latch prevents the door from
completely closing
. Use it to prevent odors when the refrigera￾tor is stored for an extended period of time.
To operate the storage latch (see Art00991), open each door
about 1/2 inch, hold the door handle in the open position, and
push the storage latch [1] into the cutout [2] of the strike plate.
Do not use the storage latch as a travel latch because the doors
will not be fully closed."

I had to replace our Atwood fridge. I chose the Norcold NA7LX. I cannot believe how cheap and flimsy it feels. Everything on it feels fragile. It is probably 20lbs lighter than the old Atwood.

My base model Norcold in my 1995 toy hauler had a slide catch to prop the doors open, but the new model does not. Another penny saver they incorporated was to leave the LED interior light on the entire time the unit is powered. No fancy $0.02 door switch here, and more watt consumption for no reason.

The Atwood had some great features and I tried to get it repaired to no avail. I did install the Fridge Defend on the new Norcold hoping to lessen the chance to have to replace another fridge.
