Battery not charging

2015 Springdale 270 LE. My battery is not charging. It is a brand new battery so I am at a loss. The fuses in main fuse box next fridge all look good, where would the fuse for the charging side of converter be?

Questions was the last battery charging? Did you put this battery in? Do you know about what happens if you touch the battery posts backwards?

Simple question. Is the battery disconnect switch connected? We had a similar issue.... till I asked myself, "hey did you make sure the disconnected switch is connected?) That was the culprit!

If connected backwards it blows the two reverse polarity fuses located on the converter. These are usually 30 or 40 amp fuses.

Battery is connected correctly, the previous battery was charging until it went bad which is why we changed it. I don’t have a battery disconnect on the trailer that I am aware of, I am not even sure where to look for it.

The is no switch on the wire to junction box that I can find.

There is probably a self resetting breaker in the 12 volt line from the battery to the converter that may have failed. These are sometimes thought to be a junction block, but are really a breaker. Check for voltage on both terminals of the breaker to verify that it is working. If it’s failed and open, power from the converter can not get to the battery and likely destroy the battery but drawing it down below 12 volts.

Did you check the reverse polarity fuses.

The on/off battery switch is not likely your problem, but it is important and you really should find out if you have it. I do not post photos, it is a red T handle turn knob that is marked on/off. Should be in the front storage.
You also need to know what a self resetting breaker is and check it before going any further into any attempts at replacing/fixing removing anything else.
Those breakers when I got a replacement were under 5 bucks. Even if you cannot test them, replacement is a easy job. They do fail on there own and all will fail when you touch the battery leads backwards. Many do it buy mistaking the wire colors or by accident.
