Dometic 310 leak
It appears to be leaking around the nut and bolt that holds the toilet to the floor. Would this be a bad seal between the toilet and the floor or some other possible issue? We notice it off and on but it doesn't seem to be a constant issue. All suggestions appreciated.

Is the water "clean"? if so look at the fitting on the back side and the vacuum breaker. Flush it while watching. If the Vacuum breaker is leaking then a shot of dry silicone might fix it.

We bought a 2020 Fuzion last year and the half bath toilet leaked from day one. The rubber gasket was completely off. I turned off the water and looked down the toilet to find half the gasket in middle of the path. I pulled toilet up and set the gasket properly. Problems solved for us.

Yes, the water is clean. I'll check that out. Thanks.

I had a leaking 300 series Dometic and it was the water valve. I now carry a spare. Dometic went through a period where this valve was defective and they replaced them at no cost but that period is over now. Shut off water; one screw holds the thing in place. Could also be the seal, as pointed out but given your picture location guessing the valve. I put a water cut off valve in line with my supply line to preclude shutting the water off if camping to replace this valve. Of course, with the shut off valve and spare the one in my toilet will never leak (some sort of cosmic law of physics or something).

I couldn't tell from the photo but is the water on top of the porcelain base or just accumulating around the bottom edge?
Check the easy stuff first; the water valve could be leaking (I carry a spare for my 310), you also might disconnect the water supply line and make sure the little soft cone washer is in straight and hasn't been crimped/crushed (btdt). If there is no visible leak watching it while in use then I would be leaning toward the seal between the toilet base and floor. Nothing to pulling the toilet up and replacing it. IIRC the seal is less than $10. Be sure to fit it around the bottom exit on the toilet then center it into the hole in the floor. One of the first things I did on this trailer when replacing the toilet (I do not like Thetford) is install a shark bite 1/4 turn on/off water valve to the toilet and flexible supply line. Might be a good time to do that while you are messing with it.

On our 310, I have found you must keep the little holes around the inside of the rim clean, or the buildup of mineral deposits will squirt water up and over the rim which will flow down the outside of the toilet. I use a pumice stone along with a sharp knife to scrape the deposits off the porcelain surface around the holes.

Slightly off topic but...
If I may ask, what is it about the Thetford toilet that you don't like? I ask because we want to buy a new toilet, but with the elongated bowl. We had a Thetford in our last RV and it worked fine. Currently we have a Dometic 310 that also works fine, I think the 320 is the elongated. Just curious.

I've had several Thetfords. They all seem/feel like you are sitting on a 5 gallon bucket vs something that was actually designed for "humans". That, combined with the way the bases used to be constructed made them a no go for me...change them out upon purchase. Yes, the 320 is the elongated toilet, and a nice one, if it fits your space.

Not to mention parts for the Thetford, which will be required, are very costly.
