Greetings from Michigan

Hello all - just took delivery of a 2019 Passport 239ml this past weekend. This is my first camper, however my wife’s family has had motorhomes (mostly class a) all of her life. My tow vehicle is a 2017 Chevy Silverado with the lovey 3.92 rear end - severely limited us on overall tow capacity - well I guess it’s another reason to get a bigger truck lol. We plan short trips here in the spring with a longer trip to traverse city (about 4 hours away) in June.

OK, we don't have a lot of truck info but the Passport has a GVWR of 5400 lbs. What's not to work? 3.92 gears are not bad for pulling.

It ended up working well actually, we were initially thinking I had the 3.42 gears and an additional few thousand gvwr so our search for a trailer went from the 30 foot 7k range to the 239ml. Initially I felt a little cheated by the dealership, guy lead me to believe it had the 3.42 had to literally go through the RPO codes to get any straight answer on what exactly I had on my truck.

Congrats on the new trailer and welcome from a fellow Michigander. Now you can sit idle and impatiently wait for winter to end. That's the difficult part of purchasing an RV in the winter months. Happy camping!

Forgot to say, Congratulations and Welcome. We could spend our entire summer between Traverse City, Petoskey, Charlevoix, St. Ignace and all the places in-between.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new trailer! Maybe I'm misunderstanding your comment but the 3.92 shoulcl give you MORE towing capacity than a 3.42. It shouldn't have any effect on your gvw as far as I know.

Greetings neighbor from Taylor, MI. What dealer did you buy from? My 22 RBS is due in any day, getting it from Lloyd Bridges.
