I own a 2015 Keystone Alpine 3011RE.
I've been under the unit numerous times but never noticed something until recently. I really hope it has not led to severe damage I cannot see yet.
While under the unit, I noticed an outrigger "just hanging there", not attached to the box and obviously with no signs that any attempt was ever made to attach it to the box.
I'm no genius but I thought that "cannot be normal".
I took a closer look at the unit and of the eight outriggers on the Lippert Frame (four on each side), four are "just hanging there".
All four are on the front-end of the unit, two on each side. Please see the photos below and note the daylight showing where the outriggers should be attached to the box.
I would think the main box is likely attached to the frame in other places, but I would imagine the outriggers do serve a vital purpose.
Can someone confirm for me that this "cannot be normal"?
And how something like this is allowed off the Keystone Factory Floor???
Looking for guidance please. Should I:
1. Should I take it to the dealer to have it noted for future reference and have them bang-heads with Keystone and likely have the unit sit at the dealership for months-on-end?
2. Or should I contact Keystone directly, get them to note it for future reference, and hope they address it without having to give up the unit for months heading into the season?
Thank you for any guidance you can provide.
Tom
