A local place to install and "lug-centric balance" the tires? Not so much!
5 tire shops near me stated that hub-centric balancing is all they do. Discount Tire, Firestone, and Pep Boys told me that hub centric balancing will be okay for my application. Walmart hadnt a clue what I was talking about.
DT guy said that only 8 lug truck/trailer wheels need to be balanced from the lug centered position.
The only tire shop I found was a local Belle Tire store that said they have some adapters that fit their hub centric balancers but I would have to bring in the wheels to see if one would match up to my wheel's bolt pattern. I'm crossing my fingers one does. I'll know at 8am tomorrow.
What a pain in my rear this upgrade has become.
