Issue with Lippert Axel

Just pulled all the hubs on my new Alpine to check bearing adjustment and lubrication. All needed lubricant and two needed slight tightening of the hub nut.
Had trouble pulling the hub on one and when it finally came off the rear seal pulled out. After disassembly I discovered that the spindle was slightly damaged and the bearings both front and rear were not sliding onto the spindle smoothly and were getting jammed.
I contacted Lippert and they were very helpful. They suggested burnishing the spindle with emery cloth and if that did not work they would send a new 7K axel.
I was able to solve the problem with some 320 cloth and Lippert sent new bearings, seats and seals. I feel that this may have resolved the problem but I will be watching this axel closely.
Just another reason to check those wheels on new units.
