Check your cabinets!
Just doing some spring cleaning on our 2013 Bullet 246RBS and found that whoever assembled our cabinets thought the little felt pads that should have been stuck in the corners of the doors were meant to cover the handle screws! So dumb. I ended up putting new pads on every door in my camper. No quality control or poor training at the factory. Anybody else see this on your campers? Make me nervous about the important stuff in the camper if they can't get this little detail right.

Some of mine are that way as well. Maybe they were extras they didn't know what to do with.
Don't take it as in indication of how they handle the important stuff. They *did* put the tongue at the correct end of the trailer.

We purchased a 2013 (built in 11/12) 29sgs 5th wheel several months back and I noticed those pads covering the screw heads right away. My first thought was why in the world would they want protect the screw heads. It never dawned on me that they are for the corners of the doors/drawers.
Has anyone spoke to Keystone or a dealer about this? Maybe all of us can get a new set of pads out of them.
By the way, I still haven't repositioned them, they are still covering the screws.

No, the screw heads/handles are far enough in that they don't touch the frame when closed.

Our Cougar also has the felt pads covering the door handle screws. Maybe John has it right....it's part of the "Polar Package"... or maybe the line foreman told the kid applying the felt pads that he couldn't go home until he used his quota of stickers??

I don't know, maybe because they bugger up the heads of the screws when putting them together they decided to protect us from scratching our hands?
I too have gone through and either moved or replaced them. I usually put three on, one on each corner and one near the latch.

Back in February my DW put a slide in but a cabinet door was open a bit and the handle caught the slide and ripped it apart.I finished removing the door and asked my neighbor to help me put it back together. He by the way was a retired Cabinet maker and built high end custom. He looked at the door and laughed for 15 minutes.We put the door back together ( there were only 8 brads holding together) he then looked at his TT a 2012 Bullet and the same thing plus all our pads are on the screw heads

i'll give you something else to worry about, mine is a 2011 and about a year after i got it i could smell something burning ever so faintly, then one evening the breaker at the RV park tripped and then i started to look for what might be burning, i followed the entry cable into the unit and found behind the panel in the bath (bottom) panel they had connected the entry cable to the unit wiring in an electrical box and the wire nuts came lose and the hot wire and ground wire had completely burned, just plain crummy workmanship, also had a problem with bad TV reception on antenna turned out to be loose connection point being check all connections including plumbing under sink etc.

Have to show this post to She Who Must Be Obeyed as she did the same thing on Sunday, she did stop the slide when she heard a crunch so loud I heard it outside, but we were lucky it did not damage the door just pulled the stile loose and bent one hinge. We had to glue the stile where is was splintered and screw it back into the frame, which was a pain to do, but my wife was able to get her small hands in and do it. But the panel was glued in one spot and three staples were all the held it together.
She will be glad to see she not alone and we are thankful that it did not happen on our trip next week or we would have to unload that cabinet to travel and fix it when we got home.

Sure enough, I went out to get something and happened to look at one of my cabinet doors, felt covers over the screw heads on the handle, and mine is a 2010. This must be one of their internal assembly line jokes, the new guys probably get the difficult job of putting on the felt pads, and some of the older workers are probably instructing them to do this.

Just checked my 2013 and sure enough the screw heads are all nice and warm protected from the cold.
Is anyone sure if these are supposed to be on the corners of the doors, if so should we get some and put them there. My doors close tight right now so I am just curious if they are necessary on the corners.
