Refrigerator cooling time

I was curious how long should the frig on auto, elec or gas take to cool down. Seems to take many hours for mine but the all electric in outside kitchen goes quite faster. Or should I be doing something to get it faster once we arrive at campsite? Thanks for any help.

Sounds about right, you can get a little battery operated fan to place inside, sometimes helps them cool down a little faster, and cool better due to circulating the air inside.

Yes, it takes many hours for the fridge to cool down whether on gas or electric.

I generally turn mine on the night before we leave on a trip. Even then, it's not really cold the next morning. If you want to speed process along, freeze a couple of 1 gallon milk jugs with water and put those in your rv freezer the night before you leave (turn the fridge on too).

It typically takes mine all day to cool down also. Ditto on the frozen jugs of ice or ice in a plastic bowl in the freezer & fridge seems to help.

We turn ours on 24 hours before we load it.
