Holding tank between trips

I have a question to put forth . In between camping trips, what do you fellow campers put in your gray and black tanks to keep possible odors down. And do you fill the tank or just put a gallon of more in. I try to flush the black tank as good as possible when dumping, but would like some added protection when camper is parked. Have started to use a laundry detergent called Foca, available from Wally World ( supposed to have enzymes in it) and 20 mile team borax as a water softener. But haven't used it enough to give a report yet on it success. A woman camper on YouTube uses this.

That sounds like the "Geo Method", research online, with a specific brand of soap.
As long as you've rinsed as well as possible, keep the seal in the toilet covered in water (or better yet rv anti freeze, it doesn't evaporate) then anything method or product you want to use should keep the odor under control.

I use happy camper RV tank treatment with about 2 gallons of water (I use two full bowls of water. Each bowl is about a gallon.)

Whatever you decide to use you may want to add to the grey tanks as well, often the galley tank smells as bad or worse than the black tank.
