Goosebox question "again". Thanks

I just found out, the Goosebox I bought was was a Gen 1 production. I assume was older inventory. I didn't know they upgraded it. I looked at a Gen 2 and can only see a few differences, being able to use a padlock in the lock position. Also, the the Gen 1 has some re-enforced plate steel where as the Gen 2 doesn't, I suppose to save money. Also, blue round stickers on the side and the logo "Reese 20K". Which one did you guys install? Should this concern me? Thanks

I have the 16K Gen1 but, wish I had the Gen2. I believe the changed the location of the air fill valve making it easier to reach. Here is a link to a YouTube video on the upgrades of the Gen2.

I have the 16k Gen 1, Reese didn't drill the mounting holes correctly and depending on the 5th wheel wings you may or may not have to drill 2 holes. The hole spacing on the rear set doesn't match the spacing on the front set of holes. Not long after Reese ok'd the drilling of my hitch they came out with the Gen 2. The locking latch would be nice to have but for what I paid for the Gen 1 vs the price of the Gen 2 I can live without it.

I don't see the need for the pressure relief valve, Firestone doesn't use one on the air bags on the truck, mine holds air now. If it starts acting up it will come off and the hole plugged.

My only regret is not buying one sooner.
