How to value my camper?

I may have to let my camper go. Something that I don't want to do, but finances are pushing me to do so.

How is the best way to value my camper so I can put it on the market? I've used NADA in the past, but was once told by an RV sales man that isn't accurate. This was when I was trying to trade my previous camper. I looked at NADA just now, and the prices are for when I would have purchased the camper six years ago. Not what a current value would be.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Daryl

I would think if you search the internet you can find a comparable unit for sale.

Here are a few listings on RV Trader for your model and year, it a year newer. Note that they are dealer list prices. You should expect less for a private sale.

When your trading in the salesman is going to tell you NADA is over valued. When buying used the salesman is going to tell you NADA is about right.

I went to all of the dealers in my area. None of them would give me what i wanted for my trade. One pulled out a book and told me that he would only give me what was in the book that he had. I think that he was the one who told me that NADA was over valued. Another one sat me down in his office took out a piece of paper, drew a line at the top, said that was where he was, drew a line at the bottom and said that was where I was at and drew a circle in the middle and said that was where we wanted to meet. No matter how hard I tried, he would not budge and would not give me anything for my trade. I finally asked him what his bottom line was. He told me that this was a sellers market and that he didn't have to budge. I basically told him that he didn't need my business and walked out.

I finally ended up about 150 miles away which was where I bought the Keystone. That dealer bent over backwards to deal with me. Unfortunately the with the dealer being 150 miles away, its a pain for when I need service. I don't want to go to any of the dealers in my area, and its a pain to have to drive to the dealer just to have service work done.

I had not looked at that site. I did do a google search and pulled up a few old postings, but nothing recent. Thanks for this link.
