Ok so it seem my lady is fixing it with codes . It appears running out gas will confuse the generator.

Roadglide, it is one of the main reasons you happen to have "your lady" along, after all isn't it? SOMEONE has to read the instructions.....

True about my lady she never gets lost and and reads everything through. I refueled this morning and it just took 20 gallons. I now think the pick up tube isn't long enough. My Impact 311 has a 30 gallon tank. I know with coach models there designed that way to keep from out of fuel with the coach.

So I assume everything back to normal and issue was not enough fuel in the tank for the generator to pull from? Do Impacts have a fuel station?

The Onan ran out of fuel showing 1/4 left on the monitor the tank is 30 gal it ran out with 8 gallons in the tank . I siphon 2 gallons from the Harley to get it running, Code 36 means out of fuel. It took 20 gallons to fill. The 311 Impact toy hauler is a new model in 2014 . Its a fusion Impact and at 36 1/12 ft its the smaller toy hauler for Keystone. I'm thinking a short pick up tube. I called the service department and took pictures of the fuel I used to fill the tank.

Mine did same thing. Ran out of fuel and it showed like 1/8 tank or so. Flashed same code (fusion 345 chrome)

The fuel tank has a flat bottom, so depending on how level the trailer is (both side to side and front to back) even if the pickup tube is only 1/4" off the bottom, you could run out of fuel if the pickup tube is on the "high side" of the tank and the fuel is "pooled at the other end" of the tank.

Most motor homes that draw from the main fuel tank have the generator pickup tube positioned about 1/4 of the way up from the bottom of the tank. This is to prevent the generator from drawing all the fuel, leaving the operator stranded with no fuel to start the vehicle.

On your trailer, that's not the issue, but even positioning the pickup tube as close as possible to the bottom of the tank, depending on how you're set up, you could still have a significant amount of fuel in the tank when the generator "runs dry"......
