Vent lid

The vent lids and covers on my 'new' 2010 Keystone Bullet are brittle and cracked (one cover broke apart when I touched it) - recommendations on replacements? (I know they are 14x14 inch, but not sure of hinge, manufacturer type etc.)

Keystone used multiple manufacturers through the years and there's no telling what hinge style might be on your vents. The only way I know for sure is to crawl up on the roof, take one of the old vent caps off, inspect the others to make sure all are the same (on some trailers the bath powered vent is a different style from the non-powered vents) and then take that one with you when you go to buy replacement vent caps. That way you'll be sure to get what you need the first time.... Trust me when I say that looking at one, then driving 20 miles to the RV parts store and picking up the 3 or 4 styles they have on the shelf.... Well, was it this one or that one? will be your immediate response.... If you have what you need "IN HAND" it removes the uncertainty....

Even if someone with the exact trailer year/model as yours has a specific vent brand/style on their roof is no assurance that Keystone didn't run out that week and use vent caps from across the street to keep the line moving.... There are no standard build guarantees with any RV, especially one that's 8 or 9 years old....

When you replace those vent covers put MaxAir covers over them to take care of them and give you greater flexibility.

Danny & Susan - Already got one Maxx Air - you confirmed I made a good decision! Great advice from John to take the lid in to make sure the replacement fits - I can do that.

The vents they are built with are not good quality. I replaced mine after 1 year with the powered fan, light good cover type. You will need to replace the seals every few years. The fans can pull cool air in your sleeping area, and take very little 12V power. Run all night if you want.
