Towing 5th Wheel???
OK here goes I have a half ton, 2017 Silverado with 6.2 engine and wonder do any of you
know if they make a fifth wheel that is light enough and has a nose suitable for turning less that 90 degree turns. Part 2 of this question is there a pin hitch available that would allow this to work in a 68 inch bed the allowable weight for this truck is 1479 lbs and gross weight for truck and trailer is 15,000 lbs. The truck weights 6,100 lbs with 2 people, full of gas and what junk I carry with me. I know there is few if any fifth wheels that would work with this setup so don't call me crazy. There are many campers out ther smarter than I am and if you can help I would appreciate it.

The smallest Cougar Half Ton pin weight is around 1550 pounds, the smallest Hideout is around 1350 pounds, the smallest Laredo fifth wheel is around 1400 pounds, the smallest Springdale fifth wheel is around 1600 pounds. Those are the "light weights" in the Keystone offerings. There is a small fiberglass fifth wheel, the Scamp fifth wheel with a total weight around 3500 pounds and an empty pin weight of around 400 pounds. While it's not as "spacious" as a conventional fifth wheel, it's also not as heavy..... https://www.scamptrailers.com/showro...-layout-a.html

Grand Designs has a “150” series with the LCI “turning point” pin box. I know this is a Keystone forum....but I work at a Grand designs dealer.

Quick answer without a lot of explanation: 1479lb payload means a small/midsize bumper pull...no substantial 5vr in the mix unless you want to look at some "mini" 5th wheel.
What's the gvw of the truck? 6100 with 2 people (assume scaled) leaves ?? 1000 lbs.?
