He's back

Don't hate me but I ordered a KZ Durango Half-Ton D240.
I joined a KZ forum too but I feel like I have a bunch of Forum Friends here.
My wife loves the layout because of the rear kitchen and she will not be disturbed while working her magic in said kitchen as people go in and out.
It says Half-Ton but we all know manufacturers and dealers lie.
I ordered a Silverado 2500HD LTZ gasser.
Actually, props to the dealer's salesman in Hamburg NY. He commented that maybe my truck, Silverado 1500, was a little light.

Hope I don't get a POS like so many new RV's. I'm looking to hire a 3rd party inspector..

No reason to go elsewhere, keep hanging around. You have great experience to share and offer, so don't be a stranger!

For what it's worth, I'm still a member on the Outbackers.com web site forum (not part of RV Life Pro). I haven't own my Keystone Outback in over 5 years now, but I still enjoy visiting there!

So, keep connected! We all share and learn from each other.... it's quite obvious the RV manufactures sure ain't gonna help anyone!

No worries! KZ is part of Thor which makes it a "cousin".

Congrats on the new trailer even if it is a KZ and the new truck as well. The 3/4 ton truck was warranted and kudos to the salesman for mentioning it. 10,500 is too much for a 1/2 ton and then the added height/wind resistance would be a killer.

If you hire a 3rd party inspector that's good....and if you do (or don't) someone really needs to look that "legless" dinette table over. I've never liked those because they tend to want to pull out of the wall. Make sure it is VERY secure.

Stick around, this isn't a "Keystone only" place.....

To echo Danny's words, the older we get, the more we tend to use our arms to help our legs lift our butt out of a seat.... It doesn't take much to "overwhelm" the mounts on any "legless table".... Treat it with kid gloves and don't get old (if you can find a way to do that) so you can keep that table secure to the wall..... Good Luck !!!!!

Or even a leggy table. I've already had to replace the plastic cone mounts on my 2019 -- three of the four were cracked! Found a metal set on Amazon that is a drop-in replacement, screw spacing and all. (Though I've always been careful to put most of my "rising weight" on the seatback instead, which I know is solid as a rock. I wouldn't be surprised if the plastic mounts cracked just from on-the-road motion stresses.)
