Low Profile Electrical Outlet w/USB

Hello all,

Looking to find a Low Profile electrical outlet w/USB to replace a couple of outlets in a HIdeout. It seems that all the ones I have found at Home Depot / Lowes are a little too thick to fit properly in the walls.

Any thoughts / experience?

an example is attached.

Thanks

USB outlet

As a recent graduate to a TT from a popup, I have been 'creeping', as my daughter calls it, on the forum gleaning pearls of wisdom from the pros. I have a laundry list of mods that I would like to install also, but will settle for those that I can accomplish without assistance from the DH. This was one such mod. I purchased a plug in adapter that expands the outlet to include 2 USBs and can be easily relocated. Just a possible alternative if you can't find what you are looking for.
Good luck.

You can find them on Camping World's website. That may give you some brands or part numbers to search on Amazon for; CW is $$$.

Keep in mind that virtually all of the 110/USB outlets are powered by 110 VAC. That means that the USB ports will only be operational if you are plugged into shore power or are running a generator. If you're looking for a means to recharge/power your portable devices using the USB ports, you might be better served by looking for 12/USB outlets. They are powered by the RV battery and can be operational even when disconnected from shore power.

There are several versions available that will provide USB power when dry camping. They may be a better choice depending on how you plan to use your RV.
