It fits....barely

They increased my storage fees for the last time. Decided to cut the roof eaves and do a trial run. Well she fits so back to the storage while I lay some concrete. As you can see its TIGHT, but it will save me 200 dollars a month. Let's see if the pics attach. Click image for larger version

Is that your neighbors house you are less than a foot away from? If so, I hope you are on good terms with them. That is all too close for my comfort, but I agree that $200 is $200. I hope the zoning officer doesn't have an issue with it.

$200 is pretty steep. This is one of those times I wish I lived out in the boonies and could keep my trailer at home. My wife would never see me in the house. Good thing it’s ~$100/mo for trailer storage, I guess. If it was $200, we probably wouldn’t have a trailer.

No sir that is my house and our common fence. All they care about is that it's back behind a fence. Can just barely squeeze in the front door. But 200 with my discount was just too much to she'll out monthly.

And it's much further than a foot to neighbor. Just looks that way in pic. It's actually about 6 feet.

$200 a month... WOW !!!!! We put our fifth wheel in storage (indoors) for the winter (November to May) for $300 total charge. I thought that was expensive. Hmmm Guess I got a deal compared to some storage fees...

Although it's pretty tight, as long as you can consistently back it in and pull it out without damaging the fence, house or trailer, you're saving enough to buy a new trailer every 10 years or so LOL Hmmm can you spell "UPGRADES" <G>

SAD’s “shop” is bigger than my house. Now I know what “indoor camping” looks like.

Just a suggestion, but you could put a ball hitch on the front of your truck. That would make it easier for you to see the positioning of the trailer. I've done this with another trailer with having 2" of clearance on each side and it worked perfectly.

Shop is 2000 sq ft.

We had to "indoor camp" this weekend. We were supposed to go real camping, but the yard was so sloppy that the truck by itself almost got stuck. No way we could get camper/truck out as a combo... Wife tolerates me.

If you have good mirrors properly positioned so you can see down the sides of the trailer, backing it in is a lot easier than from the front of your truck as you can't see down both sides. Accident waiting to happen if you can't see the sides of the trailer your moving.

A friend up north has a big pole barn on 40 acres. Inside he has a 1950's vintage 50' trailer that is beautiful in and out. An old tractor pulls it out to enjoy the outdoors then pushes it back in when they leave. Hidden sewer and water lines so the county doesn't know anythings going on. Hunting season it stays indoors and theres a huge wood stove that keeps the whole building warm. Outdoor hookups for 3 other trailers are in the planters so the inspector never sees them

Metal building - $27k
Concrete - $11.5k
Electrical - $3k (meter pole, 150 ft copper, 200 amp panel - beyond the service entrance panel, I did the remaining electrical myself)
Building assembly - $8.6k

The best advice I got from my father-in-law (who lives in Newfane BTW), was "Get 14' doors!"

He had a shop with only 12' doors and a 5er 12.5' tall... Doh!!!

That’s quite a bit less than it’d cost me to build a 20’x20’ garage that matches my 1200 sq. ft. house (yeah, my house *is* smaller than your shop).

SAD..Now you've made me really SAD...here I was all happy I was finally able to get her home and BOOM I get your pic. Just gotta say awesome shack for the toys. I don't think I would ever leave home I would just make sure to lock my kegerator in there with me. Did consider putting a hitch up front, but since it wasn't too difficult getting her in there, I will prolly install some simple mirror extenders so I can get a good view as suggested by CincyGus. Will only put them on when backing her up. And yup the extra 200 dollars a month are already burning a hole in my pocket...hmmm Oh and just to clarify..the 200 is with my 'good guy' discount..Now they are jacking it to $209 with the discount ugh.....Have increased the price by $30 in 3 months! Gotta be out by the 17th, so gotta get cracking on the concrete. Happy Travels
