Q120 weber bbq

Question can you use a acme extend-A-flow tee adapter with hose coming from the RV 30 pound tank to the Q120 bbq which has a built in regulator. Will this work

It is my understanding that you can't have two regulators operating at the same time with the propane BBQ. The RV tank is already regulated and having another one on the Weber won't provide adequate pressure for the BBQ to operate properly. The solution would be, I think, to remove the regulator from the Weber, remove the tank from the RV or carry a separate 10 or 20 lb tank.
If you do a forum search on the Weber BBQ you will find some posts which refer to this topic and what others have done when using the RV propane tank as the main supply.

You can buy a tee valve like this one

http://www.amazon.com/Camco-59133-Br...1782764&sr=1-1

THis is what I did and it works great. I got my Q120, this valve a 1 15 foot gas hose all from Amazon.

As long as the T off the rv tank is before the regulator you're fine.......I have kids, so Im not a fan of running a hose off the 5er through the campsite. I have a couple of xtra home bbq propane tanks and I'll typically take one of those. Easier to get it away from everything that is going on around also.
