Misc links

I thought I would share some links for RV parts that I use in maintaining and upgrading my RV. If anyone else has some good RV related links please share them here.

Here’s a link to the underbelly Coroplast covering that most manufacturers use: http://www.factoryrvsurplus.com/prod...roduct_id=2212

Here’s a link to the black house wrap cloth that covers the underside of the subfloor; http://www.factoryrvsurplus.com/prod...roduct_id=2211

Here’s a link to the pdf on Filon Fiberglass siding care: http://www.factoryrvsurplus.com/files/filon_care_.pdf

Here’s a link to slide-out replacement seals: http://www.factoryrvsurplus.com/cate...ategory_id=170

Here’s a link for suspension wet bolts (I just ordered some of these for my Trailair Equa-flex installation): http://www.factoryrvsurplus.com/prod...roduct_id=2290

As you can see the Factory RV Surplus website is one of my favorite go to sites when I’m looking for RV parts. I invite other members to share links for RV parts and projects so that all can benefit.

In this case, wet bolts are replacements for the bolts in the mounting of the shackles, etc. to the frame mounts for your springs and axles.

Wet bolts have grease fittings and paths for the grease to travel to keep the mounts and pivot points lubricated. Less wear and tear on everything.

There are a couple of threads about them and shackle upgrades here. You may want to read them to decide if the upgrade is right for you.

I'd also suggest that once you learn a bit about them, crawl under your rig and see if you already have them as they are now factory installed in some cases.

On this forum there is no such thing as a stupid question only ones that require an answer! The previous poster answered the question very well.

Here’s more links that I thought I would share;

Link to the replacement vinyl track covering that always seems to mildew and shrink and harden with age: http://www.amazon.com/Camco-25202-Wh...im_dbs_auto_21

Link to a replacement switch cover that I need due to a broken catch on the bottom. You know that all this stuff is plastic: http://www.amazon.com/JR-Products-13...4121880&sr=8-3

Link to a replacement coax input unit cover that always mildews and breaks: http://www.amazon.com/JR-Products-47.../dp/B000NJ14IK

Link to a replacement cap and strap fresh water tank cover. These things are always rotting and breaking: http://www.amazon.com/JR-Products-22..._sim_dbs_auto2

Link to a replacement plug for the city water inlet hose connect: http://www.amazon.com/JR-Products-42...f=pd_sim_auto1

Link to a replacement baggage door catch: http://www.amazon.com/Camco-44173-Po...f=pd_sim_auto7

On our last TTer (Passport 280BH) we needed something to block out the light from the ceiling vent in the bedroom and this filled the bill very well: http://www.amazon.com/Camco-45192-Su...f=pd_sbs_auto5

Hank, there is one thing that I have been doing lately and that is to use the black strap from a sewer garden hose adapter as seen here; http://www.rvplus.com/valterra-produ...-t1020-1d.html
I cut part of the circle off on one end forming a Y and stick that end into the caps center hole and then remove one of the mounting screws for the unit and put the screw through the other end and screw it back down. The black strap is more UV resistant and will last a lot longer and is cheaper to buy, works for me.

Much cheaper also, but I need the whole city/gravity hatch because my check-valve is bad and not replaceable. http://www.jrprvinc.com/catalog.php?link=plum_cit_grav This is a perfect match with a brass check-valve.
