Since I can't get the trailer to my house we usually do a weekend camping trip to a park with full hookups that is within a couple of hours of Waco just to flush all the tanks, sanitize the FW system and generally clean and repair...

This is that weekend, before we head out to Caprock Canyon State Park for a week...

Been having a Problem getting the galley tank to fully drain the last several trips and think I got it... Cheater valve under the island wasn't opening as it should... still ain't going to set a record with an 1-1/2 pipe, but it is at least emptying completely..

Well today we had to take our 5'er down to the dealership and leave it for awhile for some minor warranty work. Hopeing to get it back before the snow starts flying in November. Already miss camping and looking forward to next spring

Replaced all the vents with ones that have adjustable louvers and sealed off any potential air leaks with aluminum tape.

Since my Outback did not come from factory with a vent for the stove hood, I cut a square hole directly behind the stove hood and installed a hood louver. Made a plenum between the inside wall and back of stove hood (seal with aluminum tape). Had to make a few mods to close off the original air outlets, and remove the back plate to connect to the plenum. That was a pain the horse! I used a stud finder to make sure there was not a metal stud before cutting. Quickly discovered there is a thin (but very strong) sheet of metal backing which I assume is to support the cabinets. Luckily it was only about 1/4" of the bottom. Finally, I can bake in the oven without heating the whole trailer now.

Sorry, no pics. I just wanted to get that project over with.

Washed the outside and removed all the black streaks with LA's Totally Awesome cleaner. In a few weeks, I plan to wash again, wax, and winterize.

My Renogy 100W solar suitcase arrived last week. Ordered the MC4 to SAE connectors and SAE wall plug for a quick connect to the batteries.

Now, do I enjoy the day away from the trailer only to find the solar suitcase stolen or play suitcase guard all day? I need an assistant.

last camping trip of the season completed yesterday. Winterizing began, but no RV antifreeze to be had at the 4 places I went to. So, air blowout of the lines and should be all ok. The winter storm coming thru here today is short-lived (but it's showing 33°F at 10 am, and I think it's going to hold there all day).

Dragged the 5er home yesterday instead of battling TS Nate's heavy rains to Gettysburg so this will give me a day to reinforce the entry door frame for the new Lippert Solid Step latches. Probably don't need this mod but for my peace (piece?) of mind. Then on to G'burg tomorrow then on to Richmond, VA. Also need to make a screen guard as the Camco guard just wont work unless I move the latches then that just creates more problems with the screen door slider

If you only use air to blow out your water system, leave your faucets turned on for storage. That will allow any water on the "spout side" and in the faucet stems to drain back into the PEX tubing where it will do little or no damage if it freezes. Also, don't forget to drain/protect the P traps under the sinks. Usually, in trailers built after about 2010 (or around then) have a different type trap on the shower and it doesn't need antifreeze or draining as it is a "waterless, self draining" trap.

Winterized the TH. Original anode still looks great. Amazing.

Gave me plenty of time to pick this baby up, on the way home.

Almost finished with the 'put the baby to bed' process but with the impending tropical storm heading our way, ran the slides in until the monsoon is over. I still need to shampoo the carpets, wash and possibly do a quick wax.

Towed it home with the new truck from the dealership after some warranty work. Sadly much is still incomplete after 2 weeks at the dealer.

Furnace rattled incessantly - Fixed loose plate in the back
Oven door dent - Second door arrived dented
Sofa wood support frame repair - Jury still out on this repair
Range hood vent nearly blows out the burners - Jury still out on this repair

Realized the water pump is nearly inaccessible without being a contortionist - Next trip I guess

So I got some low expansion spray foam and filled in the back half of the ducting. The ducts now deadend at the vents. (Did not do this to the middle vent as it carrys on past to the front bedroom vent) Haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but I've read that others who have done this have felt a noticeable difference.
Nice mods. What brand is the low expansion spray foam and where did you pick it up?

I finished adding strip LED lighting to the undercarriage and lighting for nighttime back-ins all complete with lighted toggle switches in the front storage compartment. A future upgrade will include an RF transmitter and receiver that will be powered from the reverse wire in the pin box that will drive relays in the front storage compartment to turn on the reverse lights.

I started up and exorcised the generator for 2 hours under load. It was about 20 degrees outside so I ran the fireplace, a dyson space heater, a seat heater in one of the recliners and watched a DVD. All good for another month.

It was! I almost nodded off two or three times. Seriously, could you work this in as a service offering at your dealership. I’m thinking it could be offered as a bonus job for the techs with the highest CSI or something.

I think the tech would have to be ordained
