How much tire cracking will you tolerate?

This is our 3rd year of camping with our trailer. Shame on me but I never covered the tires while parked and now I'm getting some sidewall cracking. How much cracking would you allow before replacing the tires?

I do not want cracking! I was told to replace tires every 3-5 years regardless on how they look. IF it was me, I would replace now. The last thing I want is to be broke down with a trailer.

IMHO if you are seeing cracks in the side walls of your tires then you should be shopping for new ones now. If you can see belts in the cracks on the tire don't drive on it!

Tires can sit for a while before they are sold. I've seen "new" tires that were over 24 months old. I would recomend that you ask to see the date code before you buy. It's on the side wall. This link will tell you how to check it. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete....jsp?techid=11

Cracking on the sidewall? Time for new tires. Your safety is not worth the chance.. plus wrecking the trailer can really ruin a vacation.
