Question 2009 Cougar 311RLS

We previously had a 276RL and enjoyed travelling with it so much we decided to buy another Keystone product. The dw and I have taken several trips to Prince edward Island in it and are really pleased with the way it handles. We are looking forward to spending two months in it travelling around Florida. Do other owners out there have any tips or info to pass along on the 311RLS 'especially about the propane quick connect for BBQs. Roamer

Roamer, First let me say welcome to the forum. My '07 did not have the factory quick-connect so I added an auxiliary hose to my curb side tank. One of the best ideas out there. I would think the factory set up would be even better. I do know that some BBQs need regulated gas and others require full pressure. Be sure your BBQ matches the pressure from your quick-connect. No more little bottles .... except in the fridge... it's great.

Roamer, We have an 2010 Cougar that came with the quick connect as well. I have yet to find the proper fitting to be able to hook up and use it. I have also stopped looking as I travel with a Weber Q grill and it has the regulator plumbed in. The gas from the quick connect is also already regulated to 11 water column inches (.48psi) so I would need to take the regulator off the grill. To hankpage's point if you own the grill that t off the tanks before the regulator. If not make sure it's a grill that does not have a built in regulator.

Can't help you with the quick connect cuz mine doesn't have one. I do want to welcome you to the forum though.

Thanks for the Welcome!!We have checked with our dealer and propane distributers to complete our setup ,but no luck so far.We haven't even been able to find out what brand of BBQ will fit the quick connect ,except for a $400 BBQ that would be a nuisance to carry with us,when there is only the dw and I and 2 Tbones to grill! Guess we will stick with our 20lb propane tank and our Costco special BBQ..lol Roamer
