For those that installed the 3 stage Springfield pedestal to their slide floor, did you use the supplied #14 lag type screws or did you use 1/4-20 machine screws and t-nuts to secure the pedestal to the slide floor?

I ended up using the supplied #14 lag screws that I shortened to about .75 projection below the bottom of the base. I then drilled a .875 deep pilot hole into the 1" thick slide floor. That way I did not penetrate the bottom of the slide floor.

I used 20 #8 x .75 long particle board screws to attach the table top to the pedestal after drilling pilot holes in the table top and clearance holes around the perimeter of the pedestal top plate.

I am very impressed with how stable the 3 stage Springfield pedestal is and how convenient it is to operate so the dinette can be made into a bed.
