A big heat shield is also slide toppers. The ceiling and roof of a slide is not like the ceiling and roof of the coach they are in. Without toppers, the ceiling on our 23MLE was very warm early on in the year (Florida mind you). I put both toppers on myself. Bought the latest Lippert design on Amazon for a lot less than other sites. Just make sure you find the studs on the slide wall and know exactly where they are so you don’t miss it by a 1/16th or an 1/8th of an inch. (yes, this is one of those “ask me how I know” times.)
