How many amps WF 8955-pec charge battery?

I am wondering if somebody knows how many amps the oem WFCO 8955 charge the battery?
I know there is a 3-stage charger built-in but I don't have any information.

All specs for charge output seem to be in dc volts. The specs from WFCO shows output for all models. Hope this helps, Hank

Thanks for those links.
But, it is written 55 amps for the output current, so is it because the charger use 55 amp to charge the battery? If yes, it really too high for the battery that i'm using! I've read that we have to charge a battery not more than C/10 or C/8.

That 55 amps is total capability of the converter, so it can run 55 amps worth of lights, furnace, battery charging, etc.

Someone looks to have done an experiment:
https://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/f...ingle/true.cfm

From a quick scan of that thread, it looks like it starts at 30A or so, but drops off relatively quickly down to sub-10A.

The battery will never see 55 amps for two reasons, one is that voltage drop from the converter to the battery will limit current (unless they are right next to each other or very large gauge connecting wire was used, and both of these are unlikely) and the second is that it is next to impossible to get a WFCO converter to go into boost mode (many threads on this.) If you need a quick recovery/fast charge capability you will probably have to replace the converter with a better unit.

Just for reference, I use a Progressive Dynamics 55-amp converter and see about 42 amps at the battery under full boost, probably due to the long run of 6 or 8 gauge wire between the converter and the battery compartment. This is perhaps a tad on the high side for the 110 ah battery I use but is within reason (for a flooded lead-acid battery) and doesn't seem to cause any problems.
