Hello from Maine

My wife and I just bought a 2005 keystone zeppelin zII 291 travel trailer for a 2 week trip around the Midwest and down south. Any guidance and help with knowledge about this trailer is greatly accepted!

We are both military and really got it so we had a safe spot for my german shepard to be since he is still getting used to new people.

Happy to answer any questions and to make friends along the way! Hope to see friends out there.

Whit

Hello Whit and welcome to you and your DW!

Thanks to you both for your service to our country!

While I know nothing about the RV you have, I will wish you safe travels!

Thanks

Very glad to be here and the wife will be checking in on the forum as we have more questions about travel trailers, camp grounds and sites to visit.

Howdy, and welcome to the forum from Pennsylvania. I was up in Maine in summer of 2018; beautiful state you have up there.

Thank you very much! We hope to rent out our campers after our trip to travelers up this way to use. We already rent out our family camp on Sebago lake.

I’d make a detailed and extensive list of instructions for anyone renting your camper.
I’ve heard horror stories of clogged sewer and toilets from guests that didn’t understand what can and can’t be flushed.
I’d get a big CASH security deposit as well
Personally if I was going to go in the rental business I’d get a second camper that is used exclusively for that.
I wouldn’t want the wear and tear on my rig from people with no attachment to it.
Think of how many questions you probably have and it’s YOUR camper and your investment
How to properly level ,how to tow it safely. Etc
Do they have dogs? or destructive kids?, do they smoke? Inside?
Unless it’s going to be on a permanent site already set up for renters and closely monitored by you…even then I’d pass
But that’s just me…I’m pretty particular

But welcome to the forum and good luck

I completely understand and being prior military I have such a list. My goal is to rent to veterans with service animals since we have a tendency to care about others things and being a disabled veteran with a soon too be service german shepard I know it's hard to find things that accommodate us. We have a very indepth rules of dos and don'ts at our camp we rent too.

Thank you again!
