Broken microwave turntable

Anybody know how to find a replacement glass turntable for a High Point microwave in a 21 keystone Avalanche fifth wheel? First trip out with new trailer only to find glass shattered into peices on the floor and microwave door hanging open at first stop. Model number is EM053K6BE.

We try to prevent that by putting a pillow in a clean trash bag and putting that in the microwave. Might have to experiment a bit with pillow size.

DW stores our bread products in the microwave during travel and we string a "appropriate length bungee cord from the spice rack above the microwave across the microwave door and hook it onto the range hood lip. The microwave had a "habit of door opening" every time we towed, we tried storing the glass plate out of the microwave, but always felt it would be "safer in the oven if the door stayed shut" So, bread to hold it in place and prevent excess bouncing and the bungee to keep the door closed.

We tried one through Amazon but found out they have more than one style of rotation devices underneath. Also don't even know for sure what size came in the original because it was in so many peices on the floor.

Not sure if you have the owner's manual for your microwave or not. If you don't, you can download it here: https://forestriverinc.com/files/Com...n%20Manual.pdf

According to that manual, the turntable is 345mm in diameter.

345mm is 13.5827 inches, so a 13.6" diameter is "right on the money".....

I couldn't find an "exact match" but with Amazon, if it doesn't fit and you're a "Prime member" you can keep returning the ones that won't work until you finally do get the correct "turntable drive mold"...

I remove mine each time before traveling and store it in the bottom drawer covering it with a non- skid piece of material. Forgot to remove it once and it shattered the inner glass on the door. Very fortunate to have found the exact replacement on ebay.

That was my plan. Already returned one that didn't work. Just hoped maybe somebody here had already ran into this and might know where to find one without guessing. Thank you for the info on size. At least read is confirmed.

$142.50? I would head to Walmart and buy a new microwave first. The one pictured looks just like several we have from old microwaves kept as spares (somewhere in our spares collection) from the house. Some have had the three little indents or fingers shown in the picture and may actually work in the High POint.

The one you posted states that it only fits certain units and his model number isn't on the list.. I saw that and was going to post it until I got to the part where it didn't fit..

Also, at either price I'd probably just do without the plate... now the DW might change my mind... but I'd never miss that plate..

The replacement for our Raptor (don't ask) was $109.00 (the entire oven) and looks pretty much like this one. 1400 watts.

There is typically a ring on the bottom of the microwave which has the design that fits into the glass plate. Suspect a picture will tell if it fits of not (of the ring).

Just keep in mind that because the outside dimensions allow direct replacement doesn't mean that the plate will interchange.
