Bozrah, CT

We’ve been visiting and using the Odetha Campground Resort since we started full time traveling.

Whenever we head north up through CT we always stop at Bozrah for a week. I can’t remember just how many times we’ve stayed at the CG. I went back and looked at our pictures but the answer wasn’t there.

Now, this Resort setting is expensive and depending on the time of year, reservations will be required. We found that out on our very first visit there. We ended up in a treed section atop a hill with 30 amps, water and gray water dumping connections. It was our very first experience with gray water connections so we had to purchase the fitting from the CG store.

There is ample black water dumping areas available when leaving the CG.

Sometimes bus loads of tent campers will show-up and the entertainment areas will get lively. Most sections will allow a camper and tent on the same site.

There are a lot of near-by attractions in the Bozrah area and two huge casino complexes ( Foxwoods & Mohegan Sun) are within easy commuting distances. Both of those complexes have level parking area sections set aside for dry camping (no tents).

Here are a few pictures taken during our first stop at the CG. It’s a beautiful place with lots of things to do. Just click on the pictures to enlarge them and the link is active.

Beautiful park, thanks for posting. I have never experienced a grey water only drain connection and had to look it up. Do I understand correctly that you need an adapter at each end in order to attach a garden hose as the drain line?

Thanks. Now I’ll know what to expect if I run into that situation.

Many of us use that "garden hose cap" all the time in place of the 3" cap. If you've ever had a gray or "heaven forbid" black tank valve leak, then you've had to deal with a 3" gush of water as you remove the cap and try to stop the flow as you install the sewer hose fitting. NOT FUN !!!!!

With that cap in place, if the right "sewer storm" occurs, you can empty the accumulation by removing the 3/4" cap and allowing a "much easier flow of stuff" that you can easily contain in a bucket rather than a 3" gush that tends to splash all over you and anyone else that might be unlucky enough to be nearby …

I use that cap in place of the 3" cap all the time.

^^ With a clear section of 3" in between the cap and the pipe.

That's the first thing I add to any/all of the RVs I've owned after the 1st time got wet.
