I camp pretty much every other weekend and two or three week long outings per calendar year and I have no idea when I even looked at the gauges for any of the holding tanks... In fact I couldn't tell you the last time I looked at the propane either... I open one tank and when it runs out, I open the other and fill the empty...

If it burbs... I empty...

if I turn on the water pump and no water comes out, I add water to the fresh tank..

This stuff is too simple to worry about..

Best darn answer on this topic, ever. The burp is the only true way to know how full the black tank is.

As most things in life the easiest way to get something done works.
I am not talking about bypassing safety just doing stuff efficiently. KISS "keep it simple, stupid." And I was never in the Navy, some police instructors follow the same acronym. I was told it started being used by the US Navy.

No Worries. Have a 2005 Laredo with the same problem(have had it since day one). Just wait till the sensors top out and then it should be time to dumb. As somebody else said, If you see water in the toilet and it won't flush down, it's time to dump. Sensors are USELESS!!

Read my post #16!!
Do you SAVE used tp at home also?
NO WAY will anyone in any bathroom of mine be SAVING soiled toilet paper when there's a perfectly good functioning toilet right under their cheeks, FLUSH IT!
Owned RVs for 40+ years & the only rv specific tp ever used is what the rv dealer may have given with the purchase, have never paid $$ for rv tp, NEVER had a black tank issue & every square of paper got flushed down the toilet........which is where it belongs.

To "reset" the sensors, find a service that does a high pressure cleaning of all your tanks. I got mine cleaned yearly while full timing. Eliminates oders and cleans the sensors.
